My second of fifteen on my "challenge" list....
1738 Scottish Sampler
Threads of Gold
32 ct creme Belfast with DMC threads
circa 1995
Here is how things were left hanging 15 years ago.....I still don't know why I put this piece down...
And, here is my progress for this weeks work.....
I feel good about it although there is right much more to go.......
The bottom of this sampler is detailed and I cannot wait to get to stitching that part...The random initials and crowns were typical of school girls of the Eighteenth century...Don't you like the collection of crowns this unnamed young girl chose?
Here's hoping everyone is finding time to devote to one of their "challenge" pieces....
I know I am~~~
Take care,
Faye
Wow, this is going to be another fast and beautiful finish for you. I already know what a super stitcher you are from linking to your blog about six weeks ago. I don't know how some of you gals get all the stitching done that you do.
