The only rule is to have fun, keep an eye for you threads and be always in stitches.
Pick 15 projects that are ALREADY STARTED and FINISH them.
ha, there you are, my challenge to you. Not new ones coz we all know there are far more than 15 to which we would like to start.

this Yaya is up for the challenge!

Hey everyone,

I am Laura, aka Yaya, and I am so looking forward to this! While I do not have a whole bunch of UFOs, the ones I have really need to be completed! I hope this will help.

I have not only cross-stitch, but crocheted and quilted ones also. I started a small lap-sized granny square afghan for my youngest DD in Oct 2009 for her Christmas present in 2010. I let her open a box containing the partially-completed afghan and all the squares and the yarn, then took it back, and while I worked on it some during 2010, it is still not finished. I am about 2/3 done.

My son was given a handmade quilt by a friend of mine when he was five. He is now 21, and the quilt has seen many washings and much love, and needs to be repaired. That repair project was also started Oct 2009, given as a gift Christmas 2010, then taken back. It has maybe two afternoons of work left.

Needless to say, my kids laugh at me.

I also do have cross-stitch. I am making a wall-thing of four Chinese characters that are each about 4 inches square for my DDIL. I started them three years ago - no, longer than that because she was pregnant with my oldest DgD who is now three. I have two done, one halfway done, and need to do one more.

I have a birth announcement for same DgD - remember, she is three now.

I have a fun piece that says "Don't Make Me Come Down There - signed GOD" that is only 5x7. It has lettering and clouds. Couldn't tell you when that one was started. I am happy to report that while waiting for this approval I brought it to work with me and worked on it yesterday at lunch.

I have a project for the American Soldier Memorial stitching project that was begun then set aside. Good thing no one is waiting for that one - I would feel really bad if so. I usually stitch a piece, THEN pick a name and finish it up.

I am sure I have more at home; I will dig deep tonight and see what else I have. I will post pictures too.

I appreciate this opportunity to get some of these done!!! Looking forward to seeing all of your work also!
